Brittney Olsen is our Clinical Director and a dedicated Registered Play Therapist. She is deeply passionate about helping children navigate emotional and behavioral challenges, believing that early support can shape a child’s entire future. “When you start supporting kids emotionally and behaviorally at a young age,” she says, “you’re setting the stage for a healthier, more successful adolescence and adulthood.”

Brittney’s passion for therapy grew from her background in psychology and childcare. With a lifelong love of working with children, she found a meaningful way to blend her interest in human development with her heart for helping kids feel seen, heard, and understood. Over the years, she has developed a gentle but effective therapeutic style rooted in warmth, patience, and connection.

She thrives in interactive therapy sessions, where children can express themselves through play — their natural “language.” “Play is how kids communicate. It’s how they make sense of the world,” she explains. Brittney finds joy in exploring each child’s unique mind — “like a little filing cabinet” — and helping them organize their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that feels safe and empowering.

Brittney works closely with parents and caregivers as well, offering guidance and insight that helps families support their child’s progress outside the therapy room. She believes that healing is a collaborative process, and she values helping families better understand their child’s emotional world.
For Brittney, the most rewarding part of her work is watching children heal, grow, and rediscover their sense of strength.
“It’s amazing to see kids come in burdened by trauma, and over time, see them transition from victim to survivor. They’re incredibly resilient — they just need someone to walk with them on their journey.”
